Found around the Black Sea in higher rainfall forests of N E Turkey and Georgia from sea level and into the mountains. It is smaller, both in stature and flower but increases and can set seed thus spreading.
Planting instructions
All snowdrops prefer cool, moist conditions in the spring and a surprisingly dry summer dormancy in the shade. Planted in the green about 4-5" deep should become established and thrive.
