Ipheion Charlotte Bishop
Ipheion is a small group of bulbs from South America, related to the allium, dormant for part of the year, but coming into life in early spring to flower in April. The greyish leaves smell faintly of garlic when crushed and can be damaged by late frost, but usually recover completely. ‘Charlotte Bishop’ is a lovely lilac-pink form with an attractive scent, the offspring from a few plants from Elizabeth Strangman at Washfield.

Plant 3" (7.5cm) deep and 1"-2" (2.5-5cm) apart in well drained soil, in dappled shade.
