Iris Katharine Hodgkin
Another “reticulata” type, although actually a hybrid of I.winogradowii and I. histoioides. Iris 'Katherine Hodgkin' is a markedly different flower, a complex design in powder blue, and sea green, with the lower petal mainly yellow. She needs protection against slugs, but is remarkably tough and will increase in a favourable position. Flowering in February / March to 15".
Planting instructions
Plant the bulbs 2-4” (5-10cm) apart at twice their own depth in well-drained, rich peaty soil in sun or partial shade. Top dress the soil with grit so the flowers are not splashed with soil in rain.
