Items are priced per single bulb unless it is stated otherwise.

We hope to supply everything in this list, but we sometimes have difficulties and things may not grow as we intended or expected. We do not normally make substitutions except where stocks require it within our Collections. We would prefer to adjust your payment and supply what you order, rather than sell you something vaguely similar. Sold Out items are marked on the website.

We do occasionally make mistakes and we try hard to put these right. If we unwittingly provide bulbs which are not true to name we will replace them. If you are worried about the condition of a delivery please let us know; we shall log that information. However whatever happens to the bulbs after they are received is something for which we cannot be held responsible. Nature is sometimes unkind; and some bulbs get surprisingly poor treatment, and though they are often tough, even they have their limits.

We do require payment to be offered at the time of ordering. We bank cheques as we raise an invoice for the order. We clear card payments as goods are despatched. We can accept card payment by Visa, Mastercard and Switch/Solo/Maestro. There is frequently a problem when orders are placed early and, due to the interval between ordering and eventual despatch, the card details expire or change. It is tedious and cannot be helped but we may need to contact you. Not to Exceed Cheques are accepted, they are treated like credit cards and it means that no refunds or debits should be required. Make the cheque out to Avon Bulbs Ltd., date and sign the cheque normally. Do not complete the amount box or words but write at the top of the cheque “ Not to Exceed £ XX”, where XX is slightly more than you expect to pay. We will complete the words and box to the correct amount before it is banked.

We will send you an acknowledgment by post or email confirming your order (unless it is to be sent out at once). Please use the account or invoice numbers on these when contacting us. The automated 'bounce-back' email is for your records only, the more accurate one will follow more slowly! Orders are dealt with in approximate receipt order.

Delivery of packages of less than 2 Kg. is made by the Post Office using 2nd Class Post and for parcels over 2 Kg. by Interlink Express (next working day). If you provide your email address this should result in you being notified by email of an intended delivery by Interlink the evening before delivery. But it helps everyone if you can provideleaving instructions should you be out at the moment of delivery. This could be a suitable safe place, a neighbour or a local shop. We reserve the right to charge the cost of redelivery where the parcel is returned to us. If you intend being away please let us know, we can avoid arrival on such dates.

Collection can be made from our address. We will notify you when the order is ready and we then agree a date for collection at times when we are open for this. Postage is waived for collections. But please remember our postage charge only equates to a round trip of about 13 miles at average car costs!

For this reason we believe our P&P rates offer real value for money. If yours is a small parcel and the set P&P is excessive we may adjust it ourselves when raising the invoice. However, for the standard P&P we provide an acknowledgment, expert packing, comprehensive labelling, strong boxes and efficient delivery with more catalogues to follow in the future. It is an unfortunate cost of ordering by mail order, but you will get better bulbs as a result. For offshore UK addresses off the UK mainland we reserve the right to add a surcharge to cover the additional costs of delivery to a maximum of £10.00 per parcel. For European Union and Channel Island addresses there is information regarding postal rates displayed below.

European Customers– Payment and Postage

Your orders are handled in much the same way, but we do ask you to pay by Credit Card so that we can adjust your postage charges.

Small parcels are relatively inexpensive to send. We will charge the actual postage plus a handling charge of up to £5.00 per parcel.

For larger single parcels to Europe the following is provided as a guide for any parcel weighing 2-20 Kg. Using DPD 3-5 day service.

Channel Islands, £13.00, Republic of Ireland £17.00, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands £16.00, France, Germany, Denmark £18.50, Italy, Spain, Portugal £28.00, Greece £52.00,

Rest of Europe (including Sweden & Finland) parcels are charged by actual weight on an individual basis on ParcelForce rates, the following are provided as examples only: 4Kg = £46.50, 10Kg = £58.00
