Tulipa Queen of the Night
One of our perennial best sellers with rounded deep velvet purple-black flowers. The exact shade depends on temperature and their exposure to ultra-violet light, full sun favours darker colours. The leaves are greyer green. A Single Late Tulip variety the blooming period is late April / early May with flowers about 18” (45cm) tall.
looks good with oranges, purples, pinks and greens.
Planting instructions
For borders where the dark flowers add a touch of depth and mystery, planted 5” (12cm) deep and 5” (12cm) apart in a sunny aspect, or in blocks allowing 7-9 per square foot. Combinations with White Triumphator for a black and white show are quite possible.
