Tulipa Honky Tonk has pale yellow petals above noticeably grey green foliage with wavy edges. The "batalinii" group are closely related to the "linifolia" types and may be botanically indistinguishable.
Tulipa Honky Tonk has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit because it has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performing plant.
Tulipa Honky Tonk produces small bulbs which should be planted about 3" (8cm) deep and 2-3" (5-8cm) apart in sunny well drained soil to flower in late April and early May. Beware of squirrel or mice damage.
