Tulip Spring Green has pale apple-white petals marked with wispy green brush strokes on the back of each petal. Often less ‘regular’ in height and flower shape compared to many other tulips but ideal for separating strong colours in the border or for flower arranging. One of the all-time favourites.
This plant/cultivar has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit because it has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performing plant.
Tulip Spring Green bulbs should be planted 6" (15cm) deep and 5" (12cm) apart in well-drained, fertile soil, in a position that will have plenty of sun at flowering time. Don't be in a rush to get the tulips in the ground as they will benefit from planting in late October or early November, by which time the first frosts will have reduced the level of disease in the soil.
