Commonly known as the wallflower, these have enjoyed an explosion of interest in the last few years, and with new breeding the range of wallflowers available extends to over 150 varieties. These provide a vibrant display of colour from late spring and through the summer months. They enjoy full sun and well drained soil, and will grow pretty much anywhere, with coastal areas being one of their favourites. Easy to grow and maintain, they do benefit from dead heading as the season progresses, and also a good trim in mid summer to stop them becoming woody
