Aquilegia

Another cottage garden favourite, these are commonly known as granny’s bonnet due to the shape of the flowers. These are clump forming perennials, meaning they will come back every year. Liking a full sun or partial shade aspect, aquilegia like well drained and fertile soil. These particular aquilegia are a little different as they come from a range called ‘Early Bird’. So not only are they prolific flowering, they are also relatively compact, making them ideal for patio pots as well as garden borders, and of course, the pollinators love them!
