A quirky, wispy plant native to Azerbaijan and reportedly only discovered in 1987, it increases to small clumps fairly readily and increases from seed in a sunny bed in well drained soils. It lasts ages in flower, and for the second half of the year seems never to be without flowers. From division and as growing plants.
A sun lover and best in lighter and drier soils where it will seed about. They come as fresh dug small plants, plant them fractionally deeper than they were previously planted, spacing the small bulbs out slightly. Firm in and water.
