Treated as much a herb as a bulb (like chives) but with a long flowering period through the summer, the white flowers displayed over lush foliage on very wiry stems which persist as dry straw-like markers through the winter. They are multifaceted plants, and brilliant insect feeding stations too.
Allium tuberosum require a sunny planting site and plant the small divisions about 2" (5cm) deep, just enough to anchor them in, and 4" (10cm) apart and allow to thicken.
