A curiosity which is none-the-less striking. For us the most productive of all the Anemone nemorosa forms, many of which sulk after being moved and take ages to get going again. These do not have flowers in the conventional sense, but frothy green heads full of bracts that last much longer than flowers might.
This plant/cultivar has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit because it has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performing plant.
Plant 2-3" (5-8cm) deep, 3" (8cm) apart laid horizontally in humus rich, moisture-retaining soil that receives part shade, ideally under deciduous trees or shrubs. We find this one to be one that increases quite readily and would compliment any green garden tapestry.
