Iris Katharine's Gold is predominantly cream coloured with flecks of darker yellow and blue on the falls. Visually quite startling so early in the year. They are Middle Eastern in origin and do best in well drained conditions with a dry warm summer rest.
Iris Katharine's Gold bulbs should be planted 5" (8cm) deep and 2-4" (5-10cm) apart in well-drained, rich, gritty soil in full sun and probably best in a raised bed. 15 bulbs will nicely fill a 9" (23cm) pot. Top dress the soil with grit so the flowers are not splashed with dirt in the rain. They do best with a dry warm summer rest.
Flowers Feb / March
Height 6" (15cm)
