Larger flowered than the S. luciliae with a more noticeable central white throat. The photo was taken of them in a pot of tulips that were yet to flower and the S. Blue Giant were flowering their socks off, providing a very good early show
Chionodoxa forbesii Blue Giant bulbs should be planted 2" (5cm) deep and 2-3" (5-8cm) apart (or 15 per square foot) in a sunny site with direct spring light in well drained soil where it might be shaded and dry in summer.
