Tulipa Ballerina has soft tangerine coloured flowers, though different lights and differing levels of UV light seems to result in some variation in the shade from year to year. One of my favourites (and in that I am not alone), I particularly love its scent when warmed in the sun. The tangerine hue also goes perfectly with all the leafy greens, altogether very eye-catching with a heady perfume.

RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Tulipa Ballerina has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit because it has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performing plant.

Planting Instructions

Tulipa Ballerina bulbs should be deeply planted with about 3-4" (8-10cm) of soil over the bulb and 5" (12cm) apart in a sunny well drained site. Don't be in a rush to get the tulips in the ground as they will benefit from planting in late October or early November, by which time the first frosts will have reduced the level of disease in the soil.
