Echinacea

Native to central and eastern North America, these are commonly known as coneflowers due to their flowers resembling large, inverted saucers. These are incredibly tough perennials, loving a full sun aspect and soil that has good drainage, and flower from late July onwards, attracting all sorts of pollinating insects. They have had a resurgence of late, and are now becoming very popular again in the garden.
