A close relative to the Crocosmia and it may be more accurate to lump them together under that family heading. Really long-lasting in flower with small papery rose-pink bells sequentially flowering along their thin wiry branching stems. Never many flowers open at once, but in flower for most of the summer. A lovely soft shape and colour to enhance a sunny border. Persistent grass-like foliage providing some protection to the bulbs in the winter but being South African plants, they may benefit from a winter’s mulch in cold areas. These small bulbs will not harm from being planted 4" (60cm) deep.
The small bulbs will not harm from being planted 4” (10cm) deep. and 3" (8cm) apart in sunny, well drained soil that holds some moisture. May benefit from a winter mulch to protect them from the worst of the cold in cooler areas.
