Strongly silver-variegated form of T. violacea; mauve flowered, and worth trying outside in sheltered gardens - but the conventional wisdom is that this form is more tender. They are however very long flowered, and would make an unusual feature planted in a ceramic pot - the foliage alone being very eye-catching and the scent less garlicky. Very drought resistant, so maybe a candidate for a sunny corner where it seems never to get very wet. From 9cm pots.
This plant/cultivar has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit because it has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performing plant.
Plant in a sunny well drained soil in a sheltered position, 5"(12cm) apart or in a pot, overwintered rather dry. Not quite fully hardy.
